part of a series rooted in the coast salish indigenous people on whose territories arc’teryx was founded, this relaxed-fit cargo short is part of the walk gently collection created by cole sparrow-crawford from xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (musqueam) in the coast salish region. inspired by the cedar and its materials harvested to create canoes and traditional gear, the eislen’s colour represents the moss covering the tree and the salish eye and waistband stitching the trees’ interior where the harvested material is found.
